This luxury villa has an open concept interior featuring a fully equipped kitchen, living room and 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms 2 with en-suite bathrooms and 1 family bathroom all with air conditioning. The apartment also benefits from a private balcony with unobstructed sea views, heated Jacuzzi and dining area.
Located on the doorstep of one of the island’s best beaches, the luxury building also features 24-hour security, concierge services and 5 days a week maid service and sunbeds on the beach.
This luxury apartment is located in the beautiful Coral Cove condo situated directly on the beach - great views of Caribbean sunsets over the sea. There are three luxury interior designed bedrooms, three high-quality bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen/lounge area which has slide away doors onto a balcony which stretches the whole property. The property has been interior designed to a high standard and we endeavour to keep adding new items - recently our new deep seating sofas; Barbadian original artwork from Speightstown gallery and Best of Barbados; new bedroom furniture inspired by Coral Island interiors; and a De Longhi espresso and cappuccino maker. Built-in air conditioning is in all rooms.
The staff at Coral Cove maintain the beach area in front of the building - there are ample sunbeds and umbrellas which always seem to be the first out there even when we get up early. There is a cordoned off safe swimming area which is sandy throughout. Slightly further out is the best area in Barbados to swim with turtles and there are often two or three boats anchored there (see photo) with people snorkelling. The turtles nest on the beach and we have seen loads of tiny turtles scampering down to the sea. They had to be caught by the turtle people for safer letting out at night. There are two snorkel sets (facemask, snorkels, fins) available for use in the apartment. If you don't want to swim out as far as the turtles then there are reefs either side. There are cool boxes for taking out onto the beach or alternatively, there is a small beach bar which does wicked rum punches and surprisingly good fried fish, spring rolls, wedges etc.
The balcony consists of a lounging sofa area, a dining table with benches and a 7 person hot-tub (maintained each week). Typically, you won't want it to be too hot in this climate unless you are a very strange person. Good to keep it about the same temperature as the sea and good for sitting in and sipping champagne. The balcony is a perfect height - high enough for a great view and just below the leaves of the palms.
Shutters has three good sized bedrooms.
The master bedroom opens with sliding doors direct onto the balcony. It has ensuite granite bathroom with two basins, large bath and walk-in shower. It has a walk-in dressing/wardrobe area. There is a flat-screen cable TV.
The second and third bedrooms are at the rear of the condo with shutters out onto the landing area. The second bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite granite bathroom with two basins and walk-in shower. The third bedroom has twin beds which can be converted into a king and has the bathroom with walk-in shower adjacent. New fluffy pillows are awaiting you.
The kitchen area has high specification fittings - There is a separate room for the washer/dryer. It's great to be able to cook up a meal while chatting to people in the lounge area and the balcony. You don't really need a barbecue here - the kitchen feels as though it is part of an outside area. The lounge area has two good sized sofas and armchair, flat-screen cable tv with a decent package including ESPN which has English Premier League, Apple TV (for use with your own iTunes account, also provides access to Netflix using your own account for loads of movies and NFL) with Bose sound-bar and a DVD player. There is an iPod speaker dock for iPhone 4 and 5.
Coral Cove itself was completed in 2006. It has 14 apartments - not a massive development. Life's a Beach has one parking space which is easily accessed via drive-thru electronic gates. It has permanently manned security who cover both the condo and beach chairs. Access to the condo areas is by security code.
