Cunningham-Turner Home | House in San Saba
5 Bedroom House in San Saba
This home was built by my family in 1916 when they moved to Texas from Alabama to claim land granted to them for fighting in the Battle of San Jacinto. Martha Cunningham didn't want to move to Texas unless she could have a home built like her Aunt Idora's plantation home. The home is close to 2 wineries, an olive oil company, a beautiful golf course, 4 parks and numerous pecan companies. The home has been restored with much of the original furniture and hard wood also has a great pool!
There are 2 sun porches with windows all around the entire room in the home, one upstairs and one on the 1st floor. We have made the upstairs a sleeping porch and the downstairs is wonderful for visiting or morning coffee.
Guests will have private entrance and have access to the entire house. It is not rented by room but altogether.
I live a block east of the property. I will be glad to meet guests upon arrival and show them around the house. Some want to hear some of the history. I am available during your stay to help with directions, suggestions for restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. I will give the guests space but be glad to help when needed.
The back door has a code that i will text to guest prior to arrival. The wifi password is on the green box beside the record player in the front hall. There are extra blankets in the closet of the blue bedroom upstairs. Extra toilet paper and toiletries are in the laundry room. There are white towels hanging in both bathrooms and extra towels in the upstairs bathroom cabinet.
