This spectacular beach house with stunning water views is located 20 feet from the edge of a grassy cliff overlooking Vineyard Sound. It was designed by the visionary architect Andrew Geller and is comfortable, convenient and remains modern in every way. The kitchen is well-equipped and the house can accommodate up to 10 people, with 4 private bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an upstairs sleeping alcove.
The path to the private beach is easily accessible about 30 feet from the house and even the beautiful outdoor shower offers great water views. The house is extraordinarily efficient: The master bedroom and full bath are on the second floor, along with a spacious living room (equipped with TV/DVD, comast cable) and very functional study. The latter area also contains a futon and can be closed off from the living room for privacy. A beautiful upstairs deck has a table and lounge chairs to enjoy the sunset views, unobstructed, over the water. Wireless Internet is available throughout.
The house is so unique it was featured on the cover of 'Beach Houses,' by Alastair Gordon, and published in 2003 by Princeton Architectural Press. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a full bed, while the two others contain a total of four twin beds: two single built-in bunk beds in each room. The living room downstairs is very open and well-lit and opens into a beautiful dining room overlooking the water. The dining room table can accommodate 12 people or 6-8 when closed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, dishwasher, mixer, blender, food processor, toaster, coffee maker and lots of pots, pans and dishes. This house is often used by the owner's family, so everything is well maintained. Lawn care is provided.
