Welcome to Ole White House and Amish Farm, a freshly renovated two-story farmhouse nestled in the heart of Amish country. Thoughtfully designed with comfort and simplicity in mind, this 3-bedroom retreat offers modern touches while honoring its rustic roots.
This property is owned by an Amish family who resides on the farm and has been in the family for five generations. The house you`ll be staying in is one of the original buildings from the early 1900s and served as the family homestead for many decades. It has since been renovated and modernized to provide a comfortable stay while allowing you to experience authentic Amish farm life in a quiet, rural setting.
Interior
Bedroom 1 – Master Suite: This spacious upstairs suite features a comfortable queen bed, a private sitting area, and a convenient half bath. Divided by charming sliding barn doors, the room offers both openness and privacy. Large windows bring in natural light by day, while dark curtains provide restful nights.
Bedroom 2: A warm and inviting upstairs room with a queen bed, tasteful Amish-country accents, and views of open farmland. It’s the perfect place to unwind, with room-darkening curtains and plenty of natural light during the day.
Bedroom 3: Cozy and full of charm, this upstairs room also includes a queen bed and a clean, peaceful design. It’s ideal for another couple, grandparents, or older children, with blackout curtains that allow for both light and rest.
Living Room: Unwind on the sleeper sofa and enjoy a night in with the 50` Roku 4K Smart TV—perfect for streaming your favorite shows or relaxing after a day of exploring Lancaster County.
Kitchen: Functional and homey, the kitchen features traditional cabinetry and comes fully equipped with full-sized appliances, cookware, utensils, and basic pantry essentials—ready for anything from coffee to a full meal.
Dining Room: A welcoming space with a table for six, perfect for family dinners, card games, or morning coffee with a view of the countryside.
Main Bathroom: Located on the main floor, this clean and comfortable bathroom includes a tub/shower combo, farmhouse-inspired touches, and fresh towels.

Garden: Depending on the season, guests are invited to pick fresh vegetables from the family’s garden—a true farm-to-table experience.
Patio: Step outside to the back patio, where you can enjoy morning coffee or an evening sunset while watching Jersey cows and horses graze in the nearby pastures.
Creek: A gentle brook winds along the edge of the property, providing a tranquil backdrop for strolls, quiet reflection, or simply enjoying the sounds of nature.
What to Expect:
Feel free to explore the property during your stay. There’s a peaceful brook in front of the house—perfect for relaxing with a book in the shade. You may even catch a glimpse of the Amish children playing nearby. The farm itself is divided by a quiet farm to market road, and during the early morning and evening hours, you can watch the Amish boys push the Jersey cattle across the road to the barn for milking.
The road also makes a great place for a quiet walk or jog—just be mindful of the Amish buggies that regularly pass by. A short distance down the road, you’ll find an Amish schoolhouse that’s still in use today.
In the spring, summer, and early fall, fresh vegetables grow in the garden. Mrs. Sadie will post a list of what’s ready for picking, and guests are welcome to harvest some for themselves. You`ll also find her recipe for traditional Amish “Meadow Tea” on the kitchen cabinet, with all the fresh ingredients available in the garden.
During June through August, keep an eye out at dusk—you may be treated to the magical sight of thousands of fireflies twinkling across the fields. It`s truly something special.
The dairy is certified organic, and its milk is used to produce a variety of cheeses at the family-owned creamery. You`re welcome to sample some during your visit! In addition, the creamery sells meats sourced from neighboring Amish farms.

Watch the Jersey herd return for milking, learn about the process, and (when available) try hands-on milking and bottle feeding.
