Located in the renown surf & swimming beach Playa Avellana, Guanacaste. This quiet surfing town is a lush jungle escape from the night-life of Tamarindo, close to civilization yet feeling worlds away. We are located central to everything in town (restaurants, market, etc). Only a 10-minute walk to the beach, which is a beautiful jungle walk through the mangroves on Avellana's signature boardwalk. One Life Villas offers 3 private villas surrounded by jungle overlooking a 44,000 gallon azure pool.
Each villa is a studio layout with king-sized plush bed, quality linens, AC, kitchenette, living area, private terrace, and your very own private 200Mbps fiber optic internet. Perfect for nomads and those who need a secure network to work. The kitchenettes contain an induction stovetop, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, rice cooker, and all the necessary kitchen utensils. This is a hotel with complementary amenities: coffee, tea, sugar, milk, high-quality shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, maid service
The rest of the property includes a pool, sundeck, and rancho (w/ kitchen capabilities & charcoal grill) that is shared with the other two villas. Great for having a cook-out and socializing.
The villas back a river where you can see/hear the diversity of wildlife the jungle has to offer. Howler monkeys, scarlet macaw parrots, and iguanas can be commonly seen from the property!
There is a secure parking lot on site that is locked every night. We have security camera on the owner building that monitors the fence and the parking lot 24/7. Break-ins are extremely rare in our area, feel safe knowing we have the extra preventative measures.
Small town with lots to do!
* Walk to Playa Avellanas, a beach with five surf breaks that are great for any skill level from novice to advanced surfers. At low-tide it is generally safe to swim in front of Lola's, or you can have a cocktail and relax in their beach chairs while watching the sunset. At the beach you can rent surfboards. You can fish at the river mouth. If you bring a kayak you can paddle up the river and see crocodiles and numerous bird species.
* 7+ excellent restaurants within walking distance of the property that offer Mediterranean, Italian, American, and Costa Rican cuisines. We do not offer continental breakfast on site, however, there are 2 amazing breakfast restaurants only a block away. Walk to La Esquina, a market that has daily entertainment, art, jewlery from local artists.
* Hacienda Pinilla is a 10-minute drive away. A gated community that has a 18-hole golf course, tennis court, biking trails, and beach club that you can use for an extra fee during your stay.
* 8 beaches within a 20-minute drive away, Playa Blanca is a white sand beach excellent for snorkeling and swimming.
* Tamarindo is a 25-minute drive or cab away. A tourist hotspot for nightlife and entertainment.
* Tour companies in the area that offer day trips to do ziplining, volcano, hotspring tours, turtle nesting, diving, snorkeling, and much much more.
