Located 20 minutes from the airport directly on beautiful Kewarra Beach, between Palm Cove and Trinity Beach it is a central gateway to the best of the area (we've described the nearby tourist attractions further on).
It features a huge pool heated in winter, many communal areas and plenty of cozy nooks for private relaxation. We have lovingly cared for tropical gardens with ample space for games. There are views from every window and balcony, privacy and every comfort for a carefree and relaxing stay.
This two-storey fully refurnished (March 2024) home has everything needed for a tropical getaway including pool, day beds, full airconditioning, and spacious outdoor entertaining areas that capture the sea breeze. Sizzle some prawns on the BBQ as you admire the view through the palm trees, walk from your backyard into the ocean for an early morning dip and freshen up under the outdoor shower or swim laps in the 12m heated pool.
The brand new fully-equipped kitchen is located upstairs overlooking the Coral Sea opens out onto two balconies each with dining areas and there is a lounge on the main balcony. Inside there is a 12-seater formal dining table in the living area or dine downstairs in the informal setting outside the comfy media room. A large outdoor entertaining area with fans overlooks the pool and there is a kitchenette so you can whip up a cocktail without going upstairs.
With seven large bedrooms (plus an AV room that can be converted into an 8th bedroom), this luxurious home can sleep 16 people in comfort, 8 Adults and 8 Children.
The master bedroom sits in a private wing - with a dedicated balcony with lounges it has a superb view of the ocean. It features a plush king bed, TV, dressing room with a walk-in wardrobe and a spacious ensuite with a dual shower.
Nearby the master wing is a bedroom with two king singles and half ensuites.
Downstairs there are three huge bedrooms with king size beds and ensuites. There is a room with two singles also with an ensuite. A kids' bedroom for 4 has 2 bunk beds and a large adjoining bathroom.
There is a home cinema, billard table, table tennis table and many puzzle and board games.
C-Bus lighting and electrical management system, back-to-base alarm, security-coded gate leading to the beach and the pool and the spacious 1650sq m grounds are maintained fortnightly.
A shopping centre with a large supermarket, bottle shop, newsagency, post office, pharmacy, restaurants and medical facilities is a 5 minute drive away. Public bus takes you to Smithfield shopping village/ cinemas and onto Cairns city. You can walk or ride to adjoining Trinity Beach for dinner or to Palm Cove - our bike trails are safe and amongst the most beautiful on earth.
Kewarra Beach is the perfect place to explore Tropical North Queensland where the World Heritage areas of the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics rainforest are side by side. It is just a 20 minute drive from the Cairns Airport and 30 minutes from the CBD. Take a scenic 40-minute drive along the edge of the Coral Sea to Port Douglas and travel through the rainforest to Kuranda in just 20 minutes. Attractions including Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, a cable ski lake, cinema are less than 10 minutes’ drive. Enjoy superb restaurants in both Palm Cove and Trinity Beach and the nightlife and restaurants of Cairns. Sunday markets at nearby Palm Cove, Yorkies and Botanical Gardens Tanks run between April - November - while Port Douglas is a scenic 50-minute drive away.
