There are hiking, cross-country ski and snow mobile trails practically at your doorstep along with kayaking, fishing and loads of outdoor recreational options.

Beautiful countryside right on the shores of Echo Lake on the northern edge of the Aroostook State Park, just off US Highway 1.
Both ITS 83 (major snowmobile trail) and trail 74 are accessible from the house, which is just by the Aroostook State Park. The Presque Isle snowmobile clubhouse is right by the park. The balloon park (site of the first transatlantic hot air balloon launch) is 2 mins down the road and is also on the snowmobile trail.
Free on site parking. You can walk, bike or cross-country ski to the nearby park but will need a vehicle or taxi (Uber occasionally available) for shops. The Presque Isle regional airport in town is 5 miles from the house, has connections to many destinations flying JetBlue via Boston.
